Dear valued past and future guests of The Havannah Vanuatu,

In these challenging and uncertain times we think it is important to keep you updated on the situation here at The Havannah Vanuatu.

In Vanuatu, we are very grateful for the fact that, to date, we remain Covid-19 free. We along with our Government, people and local tourism operators continue to work hard to keep it that way.

We also want to reassure all of our previous and future guests that, as responsible business owners we steadfastly remain to have a commitment to our staff, their families and our local community.

Seeing a majority of our forward confirmed bookings cancelling and postponing is alarming to say the least. As you can imagine there are considerable financial and infrastructural costs associated with operating in a remote island location, coupled with limited accommodation capacity. To this end we have begun implementing measures to control overheads and expenses, without impacting on our guest experience, and limiting the financial impact this pandemic is already having on our staff.

Due to these circumstances we are unable to offer any refunds and trust our amended deferral terms for bookings already confirmed show our commitment to working together to get through these difficult times. We trust you, our travel partners and guests understand our situation, and are that you are assured that we are doing all we can to work together to continually find a mutually agreeable way forward.

We remain committed to do our best to provide as much flexibility as possible with new travel dates and changes where necessary from dates that you may have already booked into our system. For all bookings we will allow changes at no penalty and at the same rates, conditions and packages as you previously booked any available time during the next 24 months.

Your future stay at The Havannah Vanuatu.

The Havannah Vanuatu is set in a stunning, pristine natural environment. Our 17 free-standing villas and spacious and individual dining locations provide ample space for safe distancing. All our staff are practicing the simple yet effective health and hygiene measures. Best operating practices have been developed in accordance with Vanuatu Back to Work guidelines endorsed by the Vanuatu Department of Health and WHO recommended best practices. Welcome hugs and friendly handshakes sadly cannot be given however a friendly Vanuatu smile and “Welkam” remain.

Our staff have been actively employed in maintenance programs to ensure that The Havannah Vanuatu is in a position to offer the warmest of Vanuatu welcomes to all new and returning guests as soon as the time is right. Being Covid -19 free is a blessing and we are encouraged to see that our Pacific neighbours, New Zealand and New Caledonia have joined with us being currently COVID-19 free and some states in Australia are close to the same. With the hope of Vanuatu joining a Pacific Covid-19 free travel bubble we are looking forward to the day we can welcome you back to our tropical island paradise.

Stay Safe
Warmest regards,

Greg and Liz Pechan.
